Today we pray for the way God changes lives. Eighteen years ago Dalia was a drug addict visiting the garbage dump in the search for food. What she found instead was a baby among the trash heap. Obviously he was the victim of another addict at the end of her rope. Dalia took the little boy to her home in Cortalina, Colombia and decided to raise him. She named him Moises (Moses) because of the way she found him, not among the reeds in the river like pharaoh’s daughter but among a sea of rubbish. Realizing she could never do this as an addict she quit the drugs and her dangerous life. Her body bore the scars of too many battles on the streets and she did not want this life for Moises. She also began attending church. Today Moises still lives with his mom, Dalia. She is a leader in her church. But life is still a struggle in this impoverished community. Pray for Dalia and others like her who have been miraculously transformed by God.
To God be the glory.
